‘VADAKKE VEEDU’ — Set in Chanthavila, Pothencode, this 2600 sq. ft. residence beautifully merges the charm of a traditional name with the sophistication of a modern contemporary design.
The name plate, highlighted with laterite cladding and designed with CNC-cut titanium sheet on top, serves as the first striking feature on the exterior.
The front yard has been beautifully landscaped with natural stone paving, featuring plants and a lawn area, while carefully preserving the mango tree on the plot.
A compact sit-out that seamlessly blends with the house design. The cement texture paint, lush greenery, and wooden elements, including bamboo chairs, create an earthy and inviting atmosphere.
The double-height living area is designed to emphasize the spaciousness of the interior. The TV unit, crafted from plywood and PVC laminate, serves as the centerpiece, offering ample storage space on the TV wall.
The wooden laminated gypsum ceiling, architraved windows, and chandeliers in all the double-height spaces serve as the focal points of the home, adding elegance and charm.
The marble used for the flooring was sourced directly from Rajasthan. Known for its natural cooling properties, this marble has also been elegantly incorporated into the staircase and the dining table top, ensuring a cohesive and luxurious finish throughout the home. The cement texture paint in the staircase area creates a striking contrast against the flooring.
The kitchen features a refreshing green and white theme, complemented by modern amenities. The ceiling, styled in a combination of wood and white, enhances the overall charm and warmth of the space.
The wash area stands out with its laterite cladding and marble-finish wall paneling, adding both texture and elegance to the space.
The four minimally designed bedrooms feature custom-made bedspreads, with upholstered headboards that add a touch of elegance and comfort.
Full-length curtains were installed for wide openings, while blinds were used for standard-sized windows.
