The architectural design of Raviz Hotel in Kollam, renowned among Kerala's five-star hotels, mirrors the ambiance of a family home situated alongside the picturesque Ashtamudi lake.
To preserve the distinctive appearance of Ravis Hotel, we conduct regular maintenance activities. This includes periodic re-coat painting and re-polishing of the wood across the interior, exterior, and ceiling areas, adhering to the specific requirements outlined by the client.
The ground floor's portico, serving as the welcoming gateway for hotel guests, has been adorned with a warm cream-colored paint in a subtle off-white hue. For this purpose, the Premium Apcolite Emulsion material from Asian Paints was meticulously chosen.
The polishing process was meticulously executed, involving the careful removal of old wooden polishes in the interior areas, followed by papering and overcoating. Simultaneously, in the exterior spaces, the old coat polishing was expertly addressed through grinding and replacement, ensuring a comprehensive rejuvenation of the hotel's wooden surfaces.
The balcony area features a traditional wooden ceiling. A blend of Walnut and Red Brown (Rose Wood) shades was carefully applied, enhancing the aesthetic appeal of the wooden surfaces in this charming space.
The hand rails on the first floor and the second floor are beautifully polished in a mixed shade of walnut and rosewood.
A cream shade has been selected for the walls, while a crisp white hue adorns the ceiling, aiming to infuse the interior with brightness. Additionally, the ceiling beams have repolishing with a mixed shade of walnut and red brown.
The exterior painting of the hotel presented a unique challenge due to its considerable height. However, the experienced team at Phoenix Associates, well-versed in painting structures of varying heights, ensured a flawless finish with utmost safety measures in place.
Our meticulous approach prioritized the seamless continuation of hotel operations, including events like weddings. Every effort was made to complete the project with minimal disruption.
Our recommendation for ensuring long-lasting durability, especially in exterior areas, involved a comprehensive polishing method comprising five coats. This approach considered the challenges associated with frequent repolishing within a short timeframe.
However, in line with the client's preferences and budget considerations, a practical solution was adopted. Repolishing was carried out by applying two coats of sealer followed by a coat of clear matte finish.
The hotel's exterior exudes a pristine white shade achieved through the use of Apex Ultima Suprema, a weatherproof material from Asian Paints.
